THE SPANISH ARMADA

Over the last couple of weeks in Lynx base, we found out that the Spanish attacked the English when Queen Elizabeth I order the execution of her cousin Mary of Scots. We learnt that Elizabeth had intercepted a letter written in code, by Mary, which plotted to over throw Elizabeth. We used the same code to act as an advisor,  to tell Elizabeth what to do with her troublesome cousin. Here is an example of our work.
In class we each painted our own Spanish ships for the Armada. Erin and Jamie painted a stormy sea as a backdrop to our pictures.

Finally we created a list of provisions which we thought we would need to take with us on the journey. It included food, water, weapons and a map.
